In this masterclass, you’ll learn how to construct your own skirt pattern based on your personal measurements, and how to develop several classic skirt styles from the same personalised base.

About the Course

You’ll start by taking accurate measurements of yourself and develop your own basic skirt block based on your body measurements. You’ll learn how to adjust both the basic block and the pattern, so that you finish the course with a completed skirt pattern and a base that genuinely fits your figure.

In addition, you’ll be introduced to how you can develop several skirt variations from the same basic block on paper at a smaller scale (and, if desired, as half-toiles) – including flared skirts, A-line skirts, and circle or half-circle skirts.

Who Is This Course For?

For you if you want skirts that fit beautifully and comfortably, without slipping or shifting

For you if you want to understand garment construction, rather than simply adjust commercial patterns

For you if you want one basic pattern that you can use to create many different skirts

For you if you love classic silhouettes but want the freedom to add your own twist

COURSE FORMAT, PRICE & PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Location: Kathrine Nørgård Atelier, Frogner, Oslo
Duration: 2 weekends – 24 hours in total
Teaching hours: Saturday and Sunday, 11:00–17:00 each day
Number of participants: Maximum 6 people – you’ll receive close, personalised guidance throughout the course
Course type: Open course / group instruction
Price: NOK 9,900
All course dates: See the drop-down menu below – limited places available.

Included in the Price – Complete Course Package
(value approx.
